Remember the “Hope” the statue, commemorated to the Black child by @unicef place right next to the Mandela statue in “Mandela Square Sandton?

Well statue has now being moved to Constitutional Hill. Standing tall by the Womens jail. Consitution hill tasked Amacreatives to come with a concept of dressing up the statue and making her interactive and more relevant to the pop culture.

We didnt hesitate and took the brief at hand and collaborated with two stunning amazing creative ladies who’s livelyhood is purely about black hair expressions and easthetics. @NixDlova who we have featured before on Amacreatives panel with her amazing black hair contemporary movement and expressions.

Also on the team was @nokonapster who collaborated in creating the rest of the concept for the 6m statue of ” Hope ” When @Dawn Roberts and Gaisang had a Shibelani in mind we knew exactly what to do with some pieces that have been hanging around the studio to put to good use.

By re imagining Sho-Madjozi and dedicating the statue to her and the girl child with bringing alive Hope, we had achieved our purpose which was also love and viraled through out the entire HumanRights Weekend at Constitution Hill.
